Before / After  Place Ferrer Multimodal hub on the Place du Général de Gaulle, connecting the SNCF train station to the city centre

Pays de Montbeliard welcomes an efficient and structuring public transportation line connecting the main traffic hubs. In the context of this arrival, urban and travel issues are examined.

The renovation of the circular boulevard is a major element in the reconquest of the historic city-center. Its accessibility and clarity are now improved.

The geography induces an urban development oriented toward the Allan river. Because of the East and West location of the main neighbourhoods, the Place Ferrer and Place de l’Acropole play a key role in the connection of the historic cluster with outlying districts. Squares will become exchange hubs favouring the patrimonial specific features of the city, and notably the Montbéliard castle.
